Chief is a blind paint gelding in his 30s. He came to the rescue newly blind and had a hard time adjusting to losing his sight. Blind horses need a friend to help them get around once they lose their sight. It just so happens that Chief buddied up with another totally blind horse, Aria, and they are inseparable. Chief has learned to get around very well. Most people don't even know he's blind. He and Aria share a small pasture and know every inch of it! Moving to new homes stresses blind horses so we do not adopt them out. Chief is retired here at the farm, living the good life for the rest of his years.
He is also sponsored each month by Kay Robinson!
