Nikki, a a 24 y/o Paint mare, was the very first rescue horse here. She was used at a trail riding facility for many years, in spite of painful calcified knots on her legs. She was visibly lame and in great discomfort, yet still being ridden several hours per day on the trails. Of course, she is retired now and is very people friendly and loving.
