Lily was a very old quarter horse mare. She (along with Bailey and Sunny) was originally boarded here and later abandoned by her owner. She was here for a total of a year and a half and was very much loved and well cared for.
Lily unfortunately had some issues. She could barely see or hear, had lost her teeth, and had intestinal problems. In spite of that, she got around remarkably well and had a great attitude.
However, during the summer of 07, she really went downhill. Lily was put to sleep on Monday, June 18th. She was a wonderful mare and we appreciated her lovely personality and sweet nature, even if her owner did not. More photos of Lily here.
